The Women's College was established in 1957 in the lovely natural environment of Gope Campus which has witnessed many glorious episodes of freedom struggle and bears foot prints of great revolutionaries.

We pay our gratitude to Bharat Ratna Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy who had helped a lot for expansion of this college.
